Warning

Opera versions 11.0 and 11.01 do have a bug with handling of Javascript disabled, making the browser unusable. Versions until 10.63 and since 11.10 do work.

Proxy settings

In recent versions you can set a common proxy for all protocols, in older versions you must fill in separately.

Control JavaScript

You can disable JavaScript either completely, or selectively using the NotScripts addon.

Block URLs and advertising

Opera checks the file urlfilter.ini as a block list. The file can hold full names as well as RexExe, matched URLs will not be shown. A list can be downloaded from here: https://www.awxcnx.de/download/urlfilter.ini. Place the file into following directory:

• XP (if Opera not portable) : C:\Documents and Settings\...\Application Data\Opera\Opera\
• Vista: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Opera\Opera\
• Linux: $HOME/.opera/
• OSX: /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Opera Preferences/
