Holiday to Scotland

Post by tonyburgos » Thu Jul 11, 2019 15:37

An island which is home to approximately 6,000 deer, 200 people and one whisky distillery, a trip to the wild Isle of Jura is an outdoor paradise like no other.

If you’re visiting the Isle of Islay, you’ll see the mysterious Paps of Jura loom in the distance. Good news – the ferry ride is just over five minutes to the gorgeously untamed island.

Most of Jura can only be explored on foot and the three peaks of the Paps of Jura in the south of the island offer seriously rewarding hikes. On a clear dry day, a climb to the top of one of these peaks will delight with breathtaking views in every direction. See if you can spot other islands, such as Colonsay to the west, and the Kintyre peninsula and Arran to the east.

The Jura Distillery produces some of the most-loved single malts in the world. Learn about the unique flavours on daily distillery tours which explore the whisky-making process and how the island’s natural elements influence the production of the whisky.

Scotland’s capital is one of the most unique and memorable cities in Europe. Edinburgh has a rare charm with narrow and cobbled passageways, called closes in Scots. The town is also known for its dark corners where terrifying events have taken place, its majestic buildings and gardens, countless fascinating museums, which are free to visit and, especially, the city's kind and open locals. All the above-mentioned make this city a favorite among those who have visited it. In minibus hire edinburgh airport when you arrive in this city, so is the best away for tourist scotland

Edinburgh is fondly known as “Auld Reekie”, which means “Old Smokey” in Scots. This is because of all the smoke and chimneys the city had in the past creating smog over the city. The weather in Edinburgh is normally rainy and windy, but far from being an inconvenience, the bitter weather gives the city an extra charm, creating a mysterious and sombre atmosphere.

My friend was in Scotland on holiday. And I saw her pictures on Facebook, it was an amazing journey. I thought she'd like it. And speaking of me, I myself love movies about Scotland, their traditions (Scottish kilts), Scotch whisky, bagpipes. That's why Scotland is on my top travel list.

By the way, does anyone know a good travel company that will advise the best hotel in Scotland and the most interesting places to visit? I don't mean the most important tourist places that we will find anyway. I mean something unusual. Besides, I'm still impressed with my trip to Florida, to Orlando. And so, I stayed here (westgateresorts.com) and am very pleased about it. To be honest, I took the advice of a friend who told me about these hotels. I have never met such a service and leisure organization anywhere else. And I will definitely come back here again. Well, I hope that in Scotland I will find a hotel of the same level that will meet all my expectations.
