In the IP changer, there is a section measuring anonymity. The scale appears to be up to 6.6. There are a few reaching up to 6.1 or so but not much more.

How is this scale determined or quantified? What are the criteria? I have noticed that number of users (population) is a factor. I'm guessing multiple states and continents are a factor.

What else?

And is it possible for a cascade to reach 6.5 to 6.6?

The first number describe the international distribution of the mix cascade. Optimum is: mix operators of three different countries with mixes not in theire own country. In this case the mix cascade is distributed over 6 countries.

The second number is the anonymity range based on the number of user of a cascade. For up to 500 user the cascade will get a "6".

Yes. We need 500 user on premium cascade with 6.x. ;-)

The numbers are are additionally reflected in two evaluation bars on the bottom of the Anonym-O-meter: see https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/ ... meter.html

Thanks. But--why is the cascade Titan considered a 6 when there is only 5 different countries--the middle operator and mix is Germany. Yet, it is classified as a 6?

I always found this strange, more so now than before.

The traffic goes through different 3 countries and the operators are located in 3 different countries.

But your opinion may be possible too. Because the middle mix is located in the same country like the operator the cascade may get only a "5".

But how calculate the range of a cascade if the first mix was located in Germany and the second mix in Swiss with same operators (AT, DE, GB)? Only a "5" or a "6"?

We will re-think the calculation of the anonymity range.
