Hello,

I had a question about signing up for premium service and anonymity. How do we go about signing up without revealing our IP address (since we do not have the premium service yet)? In other words, will the act of signing up for the premium service show our IP address, thus linking our premium JonDo account to our IP address? Would it be possible to explain the details about this, and what is necessary to do (as detailed as possible)? If it's not necessary to take any precautions, could you specify why?

Thank you!

Hi JohnHenry!

Thank you for your reply!

I still have some questions ...

"Use a Free mix"
question -- isn't a user traceable on all of the free mixes now? I thought that was a major change that had happened in the recent past. If not, could you explain what I am misunderstanding?

"Free Trial for Premium Services"
question -- you need to register an email address in order to use the free trial. Thus, if you are using this trial in order to sign up for the premium service, won't it create a path back to the email address?

"read this
http://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/help/payment.html"
question -- Thank you for the link; it has a lot of helpful information in it. It doesn't mention, though, anything about how you remain anonymous while in the "process" of signing up for the premium service (with regard to connecting to the site, not with regard to the literal payment options).

Thank you again so much!

If you want to hide your IP address upon payment, connect to a JonDonym service and choose "Anonymous payment connections:Always" in the payment advanced settings.

You may either use a free test coupon for the premium services, or the free services, in order to get an anonymous IP. Both is free of costs for you.

No.

No. What made you think that is should be this way? Choose a free service with two operators and mixes from at least two countries, and you are OK.

Yes, while this "path" is of course not stored somewhere, this is possible in theory. If you do not want this, you might use a new e-mail address just for this trial, or use the free services instead.

Hi, I signed up for premium services, but I can't use the account on another operating system (example: Jondo on Linux, but can't switch the account for WinXP). On WinXP, Jondo asks for a password, so I use the password, but Jondo doesn't recognize the password, so I can't activate the account. Doing something wrong?

I have reworked my PC, and have now activated my account on WinXP. Being a nube is no fun.

Germany

address of JonDos GmbH

Bruderwöhrdstraße 15b

Well, as long as only we are concerned, no, as we only activate your account as soon as we actually got the money. If you are concerned, I think, no, as well as you probably always can show (to your bank or to us) that you wired the money.

I notice that being a premium service user there is no selection to use a temporary free mix.
Is that a Jondonym policy, it would be nice if you allowed us to switch to conserve our usage if we go to say YOUTUBE etc.
Thanks

If I understand you correctly, you would like to use the free cascades in addition to the premium? And that you are not able to use the free mix service because you are a paid user?

This is not so. You can use both. You need to configure the IP changer from the default setting.

Under "Anonymity," click "edit filter."

Cascade length "All."
Internationality "All."

Uncheck "only with Socks" and "premium preferred."

This will give you all the cascades.
