Jondo makes the Firefox online

Post by qoteror » Wed Oct 21, 2015 13:59

I'v marked work offline from the menu (File->Work Offine), but I can browse the Internet after installing JonDoFox to Firefox (I just extract the files in the downloaded package to the profile folder and overwrite any files as possible)

It is a feature of Firefox, not a bug.

If you want to work offline, Firefox still connects to local proxies.

I don't know why, but Mozilla rejected the bug report of JonDos and TorProject and explained, that this behaviour is intentionally and it is a feature of Firefox.

If you don't want connections to the internet please switch "Anonymity OFF" in the main window in JonDo proxy client.

Tor Browser doesn't go online when the Work Offline is marked, also Downthemall running in the WorkOffline Firefox doesn't download anything.
