Based upon what I am reading on the site and the capabilities that jondonym offers I am not nearly knowledgeable enough to execute or understand the tehticalities.

I want to search Google or Bing and open a Google gmail account and be anonymous.

What steps do I need to take in order to accomplish this?

Thank you.

For anonymous web surfing you have to install:

1: JonDo (the proxy client) https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/jondo.html

2: Mozilla Firefox (the recommended browser)

3: JonDoFox (a secure browser configuration for Firefox) https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/jondofox.html

Install instructions you may find in our online help for Windows, MacOS, Linux and Debian: https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/ ... ndows.html

For anonymous e-mail usage we does not recommend GMail, because all your mails will be scanned. See our recommendations for anonymous e-mail in the online help for alternative mail providers: https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/ ... rbird.html

I want to post in a google forum and must have a google account to post.

I believe that java must be enabled.

I will not be using gmail for anything other than an account for posting.

Do not enable Java! Only Javascript is required (and cookies).

This may be a reason. ;-)

I installed according to your post. I tried enabling Java script and Firefox in options tells me it's already enabled. What to do?

Can't log into an email account without this feature since a message appears on screen that it is NOT enabled.

Thank you

You do not have to mess with the settings in Firefox itself. Rather, you should allow JavaScript selectively using the included NoScript Add-On. See: https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/ ... ofox3.html

To get a gmail account you need to give them your cellphone number

if you installed the provider's access software on your computer, he (the provider) could bypass JonDo easily.

The question is how can I check I don't have their access software installed.

Thanks
