Construction and Summer Woes/Scaffold

I feel so sorry for my plants. Construction is ongoing and I can't leave my plants on the balcony or open the window to let in a nice breeze.

I came home to find that my cherry tree spider mites were back in full swing (despite 3 washes in the shower) and a lot of leaves were down. Even my orange tree has lost its leaves!

And my petunias, too...

So I called the company and just mentioned that I have to keep my plants outside, not even mentioning how the sunlight is because my apartment gets a lot less...

I want to raise my plants higher, can I borrow a scaffolding platform from someone?
