What is the matter with the Firefox developers? A hardly credible assertion. Why?

Some misstakes are in the article.

Firefox developer can not sign a code certificate! I do not know, what happened and how the wrong TorButton was installed. But this version is wrong.

Firefox accepts XPIs signed with certificates by the following CAs:

- Comodo Instant-SSL Code Signing
- Digi-Sign Digi-Code
- GeoTrust Code Signing
- Thawte Code Signing (owned by Verisign)
- Unizeto
- Verisign Code Signing

Mozilla Foundation does not provide a CA and can not sign a code certificate.

To story leads to a wrong way. May be, the rumors were startet to lead to a wrong way. I do not believe it at the moment.

Update: TorButton updates are hosted at Mozilla servers - sorry, I remove the paragraph above. Seems, TorProject.org did not done the announced changes in the update URL? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/statistics/addon/2275
