I was considering becoming a customer of JonDonym, but I already use Boleh VPN. I'm very happy with it, but its encryption is only 128 bits. I also do not believe it is a multihop provider ( I could be wrong though) , and I prefer a multihop provider as long as the routes are still fast enough to use P2P networks. I use P2P networks, torrent, and of course surf the web like everyone else. Is it possible to use the two service together to increase ones anonymity? If it is possible then is there a simply way to use the two service together without using a virtual machine? Also I was looking at the comparison chart that compares JonDonym to other anonymous service providers, and it says almost all for anonymous activities. Why does it say almost all? Why does it not cover all activities? Could you explain what it doesn't cover? Does JonDonym use OpenVPN protocol? I only use OpenVPN so my DNS is not likely to leak when configured properly. The only other multihop provider that offers something similar to JonDonym is Xerobank, but all their services have steadily degraded over the years. They use to be good, but they no longer offer customer support. Their forum is a ghost town, and very few of their routes work. The routes are so slow now that its useless to even try to use them to surf the web. They do offer anonymous encrypted email which is a huge plus, but that's the only thing good I can about them at the moment. What is JonDonym's uptime, and how fast are most of the routes? Also what country is your company based in? I noticed the website is based out of the United Kingdom. I didn't think they were very privacy friendly.

Also, what routes does JonDoym offer? I mean in what countries do you offer exit nodes? Is there a list on the site. I saw something about mixed operators, but I wasn't sure if that was all you offered. It list Germany, United States, Bulgaria, Austria, and United Kingdom. Are these the exit nodes you offer?

You are welcome.

Yes, you can use JonDonym together with all VPN services. (But I did not check Boleh VPN particularly.)

* except VoIP and P2P filesharing, SMTP port 25 is usually closed.

No, these technologies were not designed to defend your anonymity and fail to fully protect you. JonDonym uses an own protocol with onion encryption like Tor.

The premium services of JonDonym are 20x faster than Tor or Xerobank. Free services of JonDonym are slow too.

Uptime is 99,999%, Speed of our mix cascades you may see in our status page: https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/status/

They do offer anonymous encrypted email which is a huge plus...
We offer anonymous Instant Messaging servers (Jabber, XMPP) and an anonymous file exchange service, both only for premium users.

Software development is done by JonDos GmbH and University Dresden, both located in Germany

Payment processing is done by Jondos GmbH (Germany)

Mix servers (the hard working part of our services) are running by independent mix operators of different countries. You can see the list of our mix server operators here: https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/operators.html

It is not necessary to have a very privacy friendly country. The question is: "Can you run a logging free anonymisation server if you want?"

All of our mix operators are running anonymisation servers without logging. We have a look at the ongoing development in GB....

Quote:
I mean in what countries do you offer exit nodes?
France, Germany, Luxembourg, USA, Bulgaria, Netherlands

See our server status page and move the mouse over a mix cascade: https://anonymous-proxy-servers.net/en/status/

The countries of mix operators are not the countries of the exit mixes at all. A mix operator can place the mixes in other countries too.

Boleh is a Malaysian VPN service, which, despite its rhetoric, may not be trustworthy. VPNs can make sundry pronouncements of anonymity but in the end you have little to no evidence.

If you are looking for architectural anonymity, then look no further than JonDonym and Tor. However, both services have some limits, which are inherent to proxies. They are app specific and cannot and do not, encrypt the whole Internet connection (minus special set ups, which still have some short comings). In some ways this is a good thing, since there is no requirement to have anonymity with all Internet applications.

For TCP laden applications, such as anonymous web browsing, email, et al. onion proxies are the most anonymous and best.

If you are looking for UDP intensive applications, including VoIP, gaming, P2P, flash related content, etc, with secure, private, connections, then VPNs are the better choice. A properly configured OpenVPN is very secure and highly recommended.

So called "multihop VPNs," however, offer no architectural anonymity since the network is totally controlled by the VPN operator(s). Thus, you can hop through seven (7) VPN servers but you will never have architectural anonymity.

Only JonDonym and Tor offer architectural anonymity, since both systems use decentralized and independent operators.

So in the end, there is no perfect system. You can amalgamate the two together--or use both individually for different purposes--but such configurations can be financially costly.
