Jondo doesn't log ip-adresses. However if I want to make my computer available for the anti-censorship option I have to register myself with an infoservice.

Doesn't that mean that Jondo does save my ip-adress in order to make it available for someone who wants to connect through it? So is there now a connection between my IP adress and the activities of the person that benefits from me enabling the option?

Infoservices keep a list of available anti-censorship forwarders in RAM.

No logs are written by the infoservices about available anti-censorship forwarders and about the usage of anti-censorship forwarders.

Infoservices do not know anythink about the activities of the person that benefits from anti-censorship forwarders. Infoservices give only the information "Here is a forwarder for you!" and can not monitor the activities of the users.

So that means if there is a search warrent the police can still find the forwarders in RAM.

I meant that if the person that benefits from my forwarding is doing illegal things, the police can in theory accuse me of being responsable if they are able to find my IP. And I know, this involves a lot of work, but it is possible.

Looks like you don't understand how JonDo works :)
If you enable anti censorship you are acting as an(not documented)entry mix,for the cascade you are connected to.No one can "see" you-only the exit mix is always exposed, cause he connect to the target server.

I will not deny that this is a huge possibility :D

I understand that. But what I meant is that if court orders are given to monitor the entire cascade and they track me, than I can be held responsible for everything the user of my private entry mix did on the internet.

And if infoservices are storing the IP's of forwarders in RAM, that means that if these servers are confiscated, the forwarders are known to the authorities.

Is this reply still the result of me not understanding how Jondo works :D

This will be the same way "helpfull"as this action
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/04/19 ... rs_seized/

Any idea how long it takes to get a court order for authorities in a foreign country?
Even at Europe it can take a year.
The cascade is "hardwired"-but anti cencorship works_random_!So maybe one time you let go thru a "bad guy"-but the next time not.
How long store your provider your log in?
As long as you have a flat rate they normally don't need to store longer as you are online.

At the moment, yes. We have some ideas to mitigate this but, alas, they are not implemented yet.
