JonDonym is evading Internet blockings

In order to block the access to specific Internet contents it seems that in many countries it comes into fashion to install suspensions of service. As a result this kind of censorship does not solve any problems at all, but keeps them only secret. Since normally black lists containing web sites are not subject to parliamentary or judicial control,their potential of abuse even in democratic states is very high. It is telling that even some victims, on behalf of their name censorship of the Internet is advertised, speak against such a pretence. Because nobody is really helped with blocking web sites, but harmed at best. On the other hand it is possible, in most cases, to shut down a web server quickly which is hosting illegal contents using international legal aid or dropping the web host a line.

Therefore, JonDonym is being developed as well to the end that it is up to the users which of the information available in the Internet they want to access. We are using different methods to achieve this goal:
